Notice that I changed the title of this blog. I am now taking on all comers in an epic battle of minds. I demand that you fight with honour.
RIGHT. and striking everything through helps.
Myst,
I am a regular reader of this blog and I do not agree that Ben engages in “striking through everything”. Rather, I believe he gives a well considered and intelligent (although often unpopular) response to a wide range of issues, as opposed to emotive unconsidered responses that his position often provokes. It is his style of debate that I can respect because it is calm and careful, and not irrational and unconsidered.
Bravo, Ben. I look forward to reading many more provocative and interesting entries on your blog.
Thanks Annette, for that nakedly partisan defence. Myst was actually referring to the fact that I messed up the formatting and most of the definition was displayed
struck through. (Annette asked me to delete her post because she was embarrassed about her mistake).Actually, I meant to post a comment to Myst’s, to say that I messed up.
I’m also sorry that you’ve been getting identified as a spammer, Myst. I’m doing what I can to make my filtering software more lenient. I’ve also disabled the comment verification system that wasn’t working. I have a massive trackback spam problem, though, so I can’t get rid of filtering altogether, much as I’d like to.
Note that my challenge to “take on all comers in an epic battle of minds” is intended to be humorous. :-) But it is also totally serious.
Come next year, I’m planning to change my tagline again, to “taking on all comers in an epic battle of minds since 2005.”
